On the 15th of January Steve Jobs will give his keynote presentation introducing the new innovations for 2008. Last year it was only a brief look at Apple TV then a long long time talking about the iPhone, this year I doubt there will be quite as much focus pointed towards one product, so there may be more things introduced. I have seen a few people predicting what will be introduced, so I will just go over what I feel are some sensible ideas.
- First off i will talk about the iPhone. It is a 50% change they will introduce a 3g iPhone, it doesn’t seem sensible to have an upgrade so soon, but people really are not happy without 3g. If they do add 3g then I think they may give it a memory upgrade as well, 16gb for iPhone and possibly 32gb for iPod Touch to compete with the Creative Zen.
- The MacBook and cinema displays have not been touched for a few years, so a redesign and upgrade of both should be seen.
- While walking through Waddington today I had an idea, maybe a 40″ iMac could be seen from them. With a detachable stand and a wall mounting option. Also a possibility to boot into Front Row.
- There should also be an upgrade for front row, with live TV viewing and recording to match Windows Media Centre.
- Also all the Macs and Apple TV should get digital TV tuners as standard.
- The Mac mini should get a redesign making it much smaller and be named the Mac Nano.
- All the iMacs should have a HD option, HDMI out and a Blu-Ray option.
- A small thing should be an aluminium mighty mouse should be introduced.
Well, that seems to be a lot, but I am sure that at least one of these will be seen.
