Who remembers Pogs? Pogs were great! I had a huge clear out of my cupboard because it was such a mess of all my old toys you couldn’t find anything, and if you did find anything then you would have to take everything out to reach it. So I cleared everything out and threw loads away, I found a few little treasures though. I found my Pokémon cards, knuckleheads, Beyblades and all my Pogs! So yes, Pogs.
This was how the game went:
- First each player placed a set amount of Pogs in a pile face down.
- Each player throws their slammer (a heavier Pog) on top of the stack of Pogs created at the start of the game.
- Any Pog which lands face up is given to the person who threw the slammer. All of the other Pogs are then collected and put back into the pile, it is then the next players turn.
- This continues until there are no Pogs in the pile. If the players were ‘playing for keeps’ then the players keep what they won, but if not the Pogs are redistributed to the original owners.
I loved all these little fads we had in our youth, they were all great and pointless. Today brought back some good memories of the good days.

I lost this a few months ago; I knew it was in my room somewhere because it has never left my room, but I found it today underneath the edge of my mattress. I don’t know how I managed to lose it though because I normally keep it on the end of my USB cable. I knew if I looked for it I would find it, but I didn’t want to make my whole bed just to find something so small, so I never tried. But today something fell down there so I picked that up and found my iPod stand at the same time.
You get this little stand with your iPod free and it doubles as a cap for the end of your USB cable, it is great for watching a film on a desk or anything like that, I did miss it when I had lost it, but it wasn’t too big of an annoyance to buy a new one or put effort into finding mine. It is like one of those things that you miss, but don’t miss enough to do something about it, like the cap of a pen drive (something else I have lost, but not found). So long story short, I lost my stand and now I have found it, so I am a little bit happier than I was this morning.

I had the roundest orange you have ever felt a few days ago! (if only the comic book guy could have held it, then commented on its roundness) Seriously though it was like holding a larger, heavier, less fury, juicier and less hollow tennis ball. I wanted to keep it and show my friends, but have gone mouldy so I just took a picture of it so I could show anyone who cares to look. I really wish all of you could have felt this orange though, it was beyond words in roundness, it really was the perfect orange.
