Wireless Cables

Why can’t I find any of these? I really want some sort of wireless USB cable where the USB cable of the device is inserted into a wireless USB port and a receiver is inserted into the real USB port on the computer. I have wanted this for a while now because I hate having cables, so don’t buy anything with a cable unless it is something I really want “like my graphics tablet). But it doesn’t have to stop at USB; you could have wireless cables for every cable out there and have everything 100% wireless.

You could have wireless SCART, VGA, HDMI or anything you wanted to make all your stuff wireless, of course the thing to finish the whole thing off you wouldn’t want wireless electricity so there would be no more power cables tying your stuff down, but that won’t be for a while will it. My dream would be for me to be able to just pick a TV up and move it a few metres across the room and it still be able to work without me having to mess with cables or anything, I really dislike cables trying things down and I would love cables to be a thing of the past.

After some searching through the internet I remember finding a wireless USB hub, which I suppose is a step in the right direction, and also wifi is getting there with my laptop and desktop being allowed to communicate with each other over my wifi network. Also my iPod is connected into that is able to access my laptop from anywhere with an internet connection, so I could be across the world connected to wife telling my laptop what to do. So wifi looks like it should be the level of connectivity in all devices, but of course wifi can only be so good, then we will make something else and we will never stay with one connectivity.

But I do see wireless cables being something not far from reality, I just hope they will be around soon, and if anybody had any information on them please let me know.

lol. USB cables actually power USB devices along with take data to them (and back). if you’re idea was to work, they’d have to have batteries in or something.

Yes, the wireless USB port would have batteries to suply the device with power, but if wireless electricity kiks in then that would no longer be needed.
